We are respected around the world in climate policy circles, and our content is valued by government officials, diplomats, UN agency staff, academics and campaigners working for a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a small core editorial team who work fully remotely and collaborate with a network of trusted freelancers from around the world on a project-by-project basis. In 2018 and 2022, we won The Drum Award for specialist news site. In 2024, we were a finalist in the European Journalism Centre\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ejc.net\/news\/announcing-the-fourteen-finalists-of-the-2024-climate-journalism-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Climate Journalism Awards<\/a>, and in 2025 we won a <a href=\"https:\/\/coveringclimatenow.org\/projects\/the-2025-ccnow-journalism-awards\/#international-relations\">Covering Climate Now award<\/a> with judges calling our story on Azerbaijan &#8220;incredibly necessary&#8221; and &#8220;truly outstanding&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many media outlets now frequently report on climate and environmental issues, but Climate Home News holds a unique position in the sector. <\/p><div class=\"clima-in-post\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"clima-2283530769\"><div style=\"text-align:center; margin: 20px 0;\">\r\n  <div style=\"display: flex; align-items: center; justify-content: center; margin-bottom: 8px;\">\r\n    <hr style=\"flex: 1; max-width: 80px; border: none; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; margin: 0 10px;\">\r\n    <span style=\"font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #BFBFBF; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 1px;\">Advertisement<\/span>\r\n    <hr style=\"flex: 1; max-width: 80px; border: none; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; margin: 0 10px;\">\r\n  <\/div>\r\n\r\n  <div id=\"chn-in-post\"><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script defer src=\"https:\/\/ead.newint.org\/show.php?zones=chn-in-post\"><\/script>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We started in 2011, growing out of the UK organisation Responding to Climate Change with our initial aim being to support the negotiating teams at the various COPs (UN climate conferences) and better inform climate diplomacy and climate justice work.
